Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics Minneapolis Concert reviews
Awesome must see concert
"If you’ve never seen Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer live, you will be a fan after seeing him. A great concert, the 12th I’ve attended, and he never disappoints. The last one I’ll probably ever see, and I must say I was teary at the end. Two and a half to three hours of great performances by him and his band. The videos on the screen behind him just added visuals that were fun to watch. A friend got free tickets from work and left the show saying she had no idea how good he was, trying to get tickets for his next Chicago appearance. Don’t miss it!"
Great Final Show at Giants Stad (BUT some issues)
My first experience with the Boss didn't disappoint, as I had always heard that Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer did a great live show. Everyone loved the fact it was the FINAL concert event at Giants Stadium, which he really played up. Believe it or not, he actually played a little TOO long. He didn't miss any, played EVERY Bruce hit I knew. A couple of times, he took the crowd out of it by playing a couple more obscure tunes back to back. It would have really rocked if the three-hour show was cut to two hours. I paid $100 for lower-level seats, directly across from the stage, but COULD NOT SEE A THING. Thank God for the jumbo-tron, the only way we could see what the Boss was up to. Way too long to wait, as the band didn't come out until a full hour after start time. LOVED the fact he played the entire "Born in the USA" album.
Waited for hours
Madonna's performance was excellent but the entire night was ruined by the nearly 3 hour wait for her to take the stage. The opening act, a DJ, is better suited for an 8th grade dance rather than arenas - to say she was dreadful is an understatement. The DJ played horrible techno garbage for about 40 minutes until she was literally booed off the stage. We waited for another 2 hours before the queen decided to come out. I went to concessions and saw dozens of people lined up at customer service complaining, with one so irate they called the police over. Once the show began, it was really good, like a Vegas show.
Manilow!
This was the first time my wife and I saw Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer. His voice is still very good especially when you consider he is 72 years old. We are not huge fans of Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer but fans.
